Here is a checklist for Green Marketing professionals
Decide on Format for Webinar – presentation, interview, Questions and Answers
Outline your Presentation – 5 minutes introduction, 30 minutes of content and 5 minutes of pitching
Introduction should give overview of the webinar; description of the problem you are going to solve for your audience; summary of what attendees will learn and how they will benefit; and a promise of something of real value at the end to retain them
Ensure your content is giving information of high value to your target audience. Make 3-4 main points and do not try to cram everything into your presentation. Do not sell anything until the end!
Ensure your pitch has a call to action that sends attendees to a special web page or phone number just for this webinar
Write out your presentation in PowerPoint with minimal text on each slide, and use graphics/photos too.
Create a Sign up Page on GoToWebinar or Webex
Create offer page for your webinar offer with special discount or trial
Create a Thank You page on your autoresponder for all participants
Write out a marketing plan of who you want to invite to the webinar and start inviting them 3 weeks beforehand, with regular reminder emails all the way up to the day of the webinar – especially for people who sign up
Write 4 pre-webinar promotion emails
Send them to your email list and other people’s lists
Practice your Webinar with some friends and colleagues to ensure it is effective, the timing is OK and you are comfortable with the webinar software
After the Webinar send a thank you note and a replay of the webinar to attendees and non-attendees with a limited time deadline for your special offer”
I believe that webinars are one of a green marketing professional’s most powerful tools for promoting green products. The main idea is to host one and practice again and again until you become an expert. All top internet marketers use them and I hope that they will be as popular in the world of green marketing.
